One of the greateset freedoms we have in this country is freedom of expression. We all have the right to exercise it and without that right none of us would be employed in this business. But remember this: when you log on to this forum and anonymously engage in rampant speculation about who is going to be hired, fired or replaced - you're talking about people.
Folks who have not only careers but spouses, children, mortgages, tuition payments, and car payments. Your comments may be cute, they may even be true, but in some cases they can be costly. Your comments create angst, tension and distrust among co-workers.
Yes, the ratings are down at WUSA. But don't take shots at our people. Show me a station with bad ratings and I'll show one where managers have mdae poor decisions in the past. But we're all about the future and we will correct the mistakes of the past.
