there is nothing wrong with being a sleepy town, which portland is.
But the point was/is,,,its harder to catch a leading station when you have very few compelling moments.
yes, they all play on the same turf--but again, the point is--anyone coming to KOIN has to play 'catch up'
and thats a tough job in a newstown..with no news. |

Whoever said that in this post was crazy. There's not one "good" person Dan hired there. They all would barely make it on air in market 80. I know talented people he turned down and passed over ... and he chose those people instead? That's one of the biggest problems. Everyone there looks like they just got out of college and this is their first job in tv. Clean house and start over.
