Totally agree about focusing on political satire rather than middle-school humor.
How about a sketch where Debbie Downer goes postal, breaking into the writer's room?

Noticed during the end of Weekend Update last night.. that Amy Poehler was disappointed with the last joke read that she had. After noone laughed she said.. "oh my.. that was my last line." And Tina Fey said.. "yeah you have the whole summer to think about that one."
I thought the Italian girlfriend would have been WAY MORE EFECTIVE if it had been muted. I didn't mind seeing Lindsay Lohan in the Jersey dress.. but the dialogue was atrocious.
MAD TV is way funnier.
