Can you honestly defend that promo, and act like it's a "typical" example of what happens during sweeps? The sad part is, Kent and Lin Sue are friends who go back a long way -- and the promo insinuates that viewers may learn otherwise. The implication is clear, and dirty -- regardless of what the "hard-hitting" package ultimately reveals.
Bottom line -- if Channel 5 has to resort to using the name and questioning the reputation of a popular competitor to win ratings... well, then, I guess that says a lot, doesn't it? |

That promo is lame. Dana must feel pressured to defend his mega salary by agreeing to do this stunt of a story. It is the first time I have every seen a station say the name of an anchor??for the competition??in a news promo.
Again, lame.
