In Reply To: In what market did you work where they paid you enough money to take a break for 3-6 months. I don't think I could afford to take a break for 3-6 days. PR seems the better option. My question is: I've been working for 4 years now producing ... and not sure what I want to do. Would it be possible to go into PR for a year or two and then get back in TV if I didn't like PR. Thing is though I wouldn't want to have to take a step back from where I am now if I got back into TV. Basically, I like my job ... but get paid peanuts. Eventually, enough is enough.
Message: I am not burned out on Producing or the business. I am just burned out on producing my show. After 10 years on the same show, same format, I am ready for a change... whether it be a different show or even into management. I am qualified for management now. Add to the fact that I would love to see how life on a day shift is like and I get easily angered because I am stuck right now on the night shift.
