If you can afford it... take a break. Work at a coffee shop. Take a long vacation. Come back in 3-6 months.
I took a few months out of the biz when burnout got to be too much. It proved to be one of the smartest things I've done. They'll rehire you in an instant... top 10 market & all. As a matter of fact, my new employer's management staff have nearly all done the same thing.
(managers, reply to that point in specific if you disagree please. don't want to mislead someone. I may be in a unique shop like that)
Either that, or find a PR job. :-) |

In what market did you work where they paid you enough money to take a break for 3-6 months. I don't think I could afford to take a break for 3-6 days.
PR seems the better option. My question is: I've been working for 4 years now producing ... and not sure what I want to do. Would it be possible to go into PR for a year or two and then get back in TV if I didn't like PR. Thing is though I wouldn't want to have to take a step back from where I am now if I got back into TV.
Basically, I like my job ... but get paid peanuts. Eventually, enough is enough.
