the precedent was set by CBS/ViaCom when the cbs o&o in austin fired their main sports guy because an F-bomb laced outake in taped segment he cut for the morning show accidentally made air.
poor robert flores lost his job after saying it on a tape that shoud have never made air.
if a reporter says it live, they had no choice it would be hypocritical, and open the door to a suit by flores.

That's too bad...I've met Robert a couple of times, and talked to him on the phone. A top-notch sports guy. Any idea what he's doing now?
