That it WAS scheduled to be an actual LIVE concert but the rain prevented it from happening. I could see where someone with U2's clout could refuse to perform outdoors on a rainy day especially in the middle of a concert tour. Perhaps what we saw was GMA's back-up plan in case of bad weather. If that is not the case and this was the plan all along I agree it was totally lame and GMA should stay number 2!
C'mon GMA insiders, give us the scoop!!! |

if rain were a factor, they could have moved it indoors and still done it live. maybe not w/ a huge crowd, but it could have been done.
i too felt cheated. what i thought was going to be a "LIVE" performance was nothing more than clips from a concert film. if i wanted that, i could have just thrown in my "Live @ Slane Castle" DVD it's a must-own for any U2 fan.
BTW- U2 rocked on SNL earlier this season, and when the show came up short at the end, the band saved the moment by just playing and playing and playing and playing-- even after the program went off the air.
