I've got a blooper reel of a reporter in a top 20 market who dropped the F bomb at the end of his live shot when he thought he was clear (something had gone wrong with the feed). Management didn't fire him (but probably talked to him). They knew it was just an unfortunate slip. He later went on to a top 5 market --no problem.
WCBS management didn't have to fire Arthur. People make mistakes and as journalism goes, this isn't as bad as fake sources or faulty fact checking. |
