First of all, "stunningly, beautifully fresh and young" is a bit of overkill, don't you think? I'll give you the young part, but that's not much of an accomplishment. She's a pretty girl. She's certainly not stunning and I doubt most people would say she's beautiful. She's thick around the middle and dumb as a box of malted milk balls. Seriously, this girl is one of the great dumbasses of her time. She's completely devoid of any personality whatsoever and has zero stage presence. She might be a very nice girl, but she's definitely nothing special. There were several times this season when I thought she should have been in the bottom three due to inconsistent and extremely boring performances. Kelly and Fantasia were never boring. Carrie might have a decent country music career, but there's no way she'll cross over into pop. She has absolutely no edge. |

I don't care for her singing or her onstage persona, but you act like she cost you money or took someone's life.
She doesn't have star quality, in my opinion, but she's light years ahead of say, Paris Hilton. At least Underwood is putting forth the effort.
Besides, the show is a work, as I said. It won't surprise me one iota to hear Seacrest read Carrie's name next Wednesday night. Bo can sell records without the American Idol logo on his CD; Carrie can't. She's also younger, and can or will be more easily manipulated by the music industry sharks.
