I must question your "facts" blackedtaped ... I can't remember the last time ER pulled a 30 in Charlotte much less WCNC's 11pm pulled a "2" as you state. I am not here to defend WCNC, but there must be an honest playing field here. Yes, WCNC @11 consistantly drops off from their leadin, but while it's bad, it's not as bad AS you state.
People switch to WSOC, as habit? because it's so much better? because of Bill Walker?
A new trend of people watching WBTV, is it because of CSI? Bill Walker's leaving? because WBTV swabs things?
People switch away from WCNC because Bill Walker is on ch9, WBTV swabs things, bad promos, they are award winning and that intimidates people?
If you can answer any of these questions, I'll bet you could get a high paying job at any of these stations. |

WCNC is averaging a 5.9 at 11 this sweeps, down from ER's 12.0 average and the average nightly 8.5 they get from primetime -- so there is some dropoff, but there was still enough juice to beat WSOC at 11 last night.
Granted it was the ER and Apprentice season finale, but does lend some strength to the whole "lead-in" argument.
And WCNC didn't even swab anything.
