In Reply To: If WBTV wants to win, now may be its best chance since Bill Walker is leaving. They need to capitalize on that. If WBTV were smart and had a good promotions department (although there's no evidence to support that), they would start promoting the heck out of Paul Cameron. He's been there forever, and if it's true that nine is going outside to get a replacement for Walker, promoting Cameron now would be a good move. Nine doesn't have anyone with Walker's experience, except their morning guy, but he's certainly not going to get the job. So that makes Cameron the anchor with the most experience in Charlotte doesn't it? That is highly promotable. But again, WBTV is not known for it's marketing ability. It will be very interesting to see what they come up with...or whether they do anything at all in regard to Walker leaving.
Message: As 6 and 11 News Anchors, both Sonja Gantt and Debi Faubion have been there longer than Cameron. They would have to count his sports anchor years...
