I agree with some of your comments about the Channel 3 news "product," but can't you do something about the ridiculously over-the-top news promos for Cooney and Curtis??
That voiceover guy is straight out of 1956, always intoning in a the-world-is-about-to-end manner about such life-and-death stories like tire upkeep and whether too much sugar in your lemonade can lead to road rage.
3's unabashedly goofy at times, which is fine, I guess. 12's promos are textbook material for news parodies.
And drop the Jesus Jones "Right here, right now" promo music. How about something from your day, Tate, like the "Tighten Up??"
"Tighten up that lipstick, Cooney. Tighten up that stache, Curtis. Yeah..."

Last I looked big Larry, Channel 3 in Feb was number one at 5A, 6A, 7A, 11A, 5P,530P, Sat 7A, Sat 8A, Sat 5p, Sun 5P. The fact that 3 is the only station doing a 8P now puts them number one at that too. We're all just tired of the 12 promo..."More Arizonians Watch the big 12"....ain't true. And when 5 win's the 10P in May, you guys are cooked. If KNXV beats you in the morning show, which is possible, I'd all retire before being fired. Then again, the ND and GM made those decisions. Right
