Clarkson is a star - she is selling cds -- big time.
Rueben was one dimensional, and ot the sympathy vote.
Fantasia is going to be a huge Broadway presence. Even though her cd didn't sell well, she is an amzing performer and producers have contacted her. She has a huge deal in the works right now.
Clay doesn't want to be a star -- he wants to help under-priviledged kids through his chariy. Great heart.
Bo is a great performer, but lacks marketability. I mean, come on, who is the target audience? He looks like the fill-in in case Whitesnake's plane is late. His whole look is tired and so is rock, really. Young males like rock and they buy it, but they don't watch Idol and don't vote. Futhermore, they won't flock to music stores to buy his cd. There's plenty of college rock out there, and even that stuff is mediocre.
Carrie should win. Her voice is pure as a bell tone, and she's stunningly, beautifully fresh and young. Those eyes, teeth and skin -- perfect.
Simon was right. Even if she doesn't win AI, she'll be the biggest selling idol when her country album comes out. The country music world has been hungry for a new, young, promising female artist. Carrie is it.

First of all, "stunningly, beautifully fresh and young" is a bit of overkill, don't you think? I'll give you the young part, but that's not much of an accomplishment. She's a pretty girl. She's certainly not stunning and I doubt most people would say she's beautiful. She's thick around the middle and dumb as a box of malted milk balls. Seriously, this girl is one of the great dumbasses of her time. She's completely devoid of any personality whatsoever and has zero stage presence. She might be a very nice girl, but she's definitely nothing special. There were several times this season when I thought she should have been in the bottom three due to inconsistent and extremely boring performances. Kelly and Fantasia were never boring. Carrie might have a decent country music career, but there's no way she'll cross over into pop. She has absolutely no edge.
