Won't be part of any group of station owners soon. They're getting out of TV after 5 years of ruining stations. |

is in contraction. With the digital switchover less than two years away,problem companies are trying to get in the black by then. Meredith (and others)has come to the reality that it needs to at least break even in the broadcast division. Meredith management did not do their homework before purchasing their Atlanta property five years ago and some say they overpaid by twice what it was worth. They're so upside down they can't get rid of it without taking a huge loss. Consequently the whole group suffers as they try to break even.
