Where is the bigger picture in all this? The prisoners were never physically harmed, but insulted. Can you imagine what is done to U.S. soldiers when THEY are captured? They get it a lot worse than getting offensive pictures taken of them. When did war time capture make one become entitled to a stay at the Holiday Inn??????? |

I'm not saying what the Army did at Abu Ghraib was okay... but take a breath...
...and go talk to an American POW about how THEY were treated in Vietnam or elsewhere.
If nothing else, it will be a compelling story and put Abu Ghraib in perspective... mainly, that war really sucks.
Or do the easy thing and once again stand around and wag your fingers at a bad act and say, "bad, bad soldiers...."
