I would guess the reason WBTV beast WSOC sometimes at 5am.. would again be because CBS prime is doing so well. When people are watching CSI etc. they go to bed then wake up and have the set still on WBTV. When CBS prime doesn't pull big numbers, WBTV doesn't win the 5am. Better yet, WBTV may start the 5am high, but then drops like a rock by 6am. |

The 5am hit that BTV gets with their news is from the fact their core viewership is non-metro and gets up earlier.
The remote control has LONG put to bed the concept that when you turn off the TV, you then keep it on the station you had when you again turn it on.
When change happens, it has EVERYTHING to do with how comfortable the viewer is with the personalities reading the news combined with the content. Charlotte stations are all pushing content and ignoring everything else.
My question is: how can anyone stomach that horrid and cloying woman Tonya, or however you spell her fake name.
