but the drug problem at CNN was pretty bad in the 80's. I saw or heard of people snorting coke off copy machine glass, toilet lids, and even the break room table! Weed was all over, and alcohol abuse came with the job. Drug deals going down in the parking lot were common. Of course, you had to remember the times. It really did not seem so out of place back then. The company parties were out of control as well. Once Ted threw us a party with a beer TRUCK - that's right, a truck - and braves tickets. Not only was the entire company drinking (including the on air staff) but Georgia moonshine was going around as well! Everyone was wasted and got on some buses that Turner had rented. We went to the Braves game and drank even more! It was all big fun and looking back it was pretty crazy. But those were the times......
