I'm not taking sides either, but I have to wonder where you get some of these observations? The anchors (at least the main ones) have not changed. And WFSB was never #3 -- they were a solid number one before current management. If I recall correctly, the station's best book was Tolan's first one, and they have been flat or down since.
Give Ms. Tolan credit for the content -- including a commitment to covering breaking news, the new reporters, and being more watchable. Whether you find every car accident in the state "relevant" is debateable. |

Tolan's first book was her best because she wasn't there for most of it. she took over in the middle of a book, the agenda for which had been set long before she began to trash the station.
Tolan SHOULD get the credit for tanking the ratings ever since. Dog whistles don't make employees happy and they don't make viewers watch.
