Pro-duce, that may have been the worst post in this site's history. Wouldn't even know where to begin dissecting it.
The other posters are right though, as an industry it definately needs shaking up.
Seriously, other than your parents, do you actually know people who watch local news? Your friends? Honestly?

I get over a hundred thousand people a night. I cant walk down the street without viewers coming up to me.
People are watching. We obsess more about our demise than anyone else does. There will always be an audience for local news. And there will always be tv.
