I remember his reporting from Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait. He was the CNN lead reporter during the 2000 Election in Florida. |

Yes, they stuck Hemmer at all the big news sites, but sitting in front of a camera and blathering on about what he just read on the wires, or doing a vapid interview with someone on the scene, isn't real reporting. The WH job requires shoe leather, phone calls, developing contacts, smarts, energy, and journalism. That's what Hemmer lacks, and if he's smart, that's what he'll go for.
