It was a spoof, in the tradition of "Itchy and Scratchy" from "The Simpsons".
The Genie's behavior is the result of a deep psychosis stemming from the belief that he cannot please his father. In this case, the drive to punish the bad guy is so consuming, that he eventually "transforms" the villain into fertilizer, which spawns a plant that the cow eats. Since the villain is now part of the cow, he must pulverize it.
Let's not forget that the villain was attempting to murder two children; although, assaulting and then murdering the villain's mother was unwarranted. |

I hate to admit it, but I think I vaguely remember Shazzan. Or am I thinking of another character, Shazam?
These cartoonists really hit a homerun -- they made me squirm more than the gory stories we cover every day.
