Track,
You fail to answer the basic questions I asked. I understand in your news world, that is called a non-denial denial.
Why didn't they arrest James Brooks?
Still, no answer.
Because, I believe, the answer is simply they had no case that would have held up in a court of law.
Instead, you go off on the same old rant about uncles, neighbors, friends, and cousins.
Yes, the police had some bad times. Yes, it was political who was on the list and who wasn't. Anyone could see that. And anyone should be able to see why it was political.
We agree on that.
But, how you go from bad police work and politics to railroading Wayne Williams is beyond the imagination.
So, I repeat. Why didn't they arrest James Brooks?
Can you answer that?
And, I'm curious while you are at it.
What was Wayne Williams doing on the Jackson Parkway bridge at 2:30 in the morning, stopped, his car lights off, directly above the spot a loud splash was heard by a police stake-out team, 2 days before a body surfaced directly downstream?
Seems like the caught him red handed.
Of course you know he lied about what he was doing, got nailed in those lies and the jury heard it all.
I'm just curious. What do you think he was doing?

AtKidPro,
Once again, you haven't done your homework on this story. You haven't looked at THE FACTS.
No one, I repeat, NO ONE ever testified to seeing Wayne Williams stop on the bridge. NO ONE ever testified to seeing Wayne Williams throw anything into the Chattahoochie River. NO ONE ever testified to seeing Wayne Williams harm, let alone KILL someone. There was conflicting testimony and evidence as to exactly where the body of Nathaniel Cater entered the river. Even more compelling, a friend of Cater's; Jimmy "Tightrope" Anthony said that he saw Cater ALIVE, even spoke to him, the day AFTER the bridge incident.
As for why Police didn't arrest James Brooks; (for Clifford Jones' Murder) STUPIDITY! There was a fierce debate among detectives over James Brooks. At least one, a veteran homicide detective, Welcome Harris, wanted to arrest Brooks. But one of Harris' dumb bosses let it drag. Suddenly, Wayne Williams came onto the scene. It was, by that time, more convenient to view Williams as the main suspect.
Once again, you don't have the facts of this case.
