And, he's no stranger to hard work, long hours, all that. And Hemmer does NOT believe (unlike so many posters on this board) that a move from anchor to reporter is a demotion. But does THIS reporting job play to his strengths? And something else for those who don't know: the White House beat is one of the most boring jobs in all of news.
I think Hemmer, given his devotion to the network, was shocked that CNN would leak word of his departure from the show, BEFORE letting Hemmer know he was definitively out the door.
Shabby treatment? Of course, and, I do blame Klein; however, it's been the way they do things for the past 5-years.
Anyone interested in working for CNN? Go for it. You'll work hard, and learn a lot. But never confuse the network with your family, and NEVER expect any kind of return on the loyalty and dedication YOU give CNN.
