but I agree to stay away. If your career goal is just to live in what they call "the QC" (how gay) then come on down. If your career goal is for a serious and respectable job down the road then avoid WCCB like the plague. Production quality on par with college students (although good animation work), poor reporting ethics, and stories which are nothing more than commercials paid for by clients. It's not legitimate news.
Don't believe me? They get Idol lead ins of nearly 5 and get a 2 in the next quarter hour. Now that's a bad reputation. |

Especially if you're a photog/editor.
You can do whatever you want.
If you want to do a nat sound piece, or a nice reporter/photographer feature, you can usually schedule the time to do so.
It is possible to put together a really super tape at 7-11, but you've got to do it on your own or pair up with a photog who wants the same thing.
That said, the rare opportunities that 7-11 bothers to cover spot news, you'd better hop on it and simply smash it out of the park. Otherwise, that'll be a gaping tape hole. They do not own spot news at 7-11, ever.
