In Reply To: Not everyone defines "success" the same way. Not everyone wants to be in a top 5 or top10 or even top 20 market. Some just want to be in the market they grew up in, whatever the size. I do agree that if you have what it takes, you'll know it early, from others around you, the response from the public, and whether you truly love what you're doing. Most on-air talent starts in small market because that's where you learn the job. It's like teaching; you can't learn how to teach from a textbook, you just gotta do it and get better. If you're not happy, or feel that tv, especially on-air, is not for you, the sooner you get out, the better off you'll be.
Message: back on... man, ya'll make this 30-something producer making 70k+ in NY seem foolish for hating his job and looking to move on,Jeesh!
