Never met the management... When I said "nice people", I meant the employees.
And I'm sure everyone on York Rd. doesn't get great pay... but I know what some of the production people make. Frankly, there are a lot of production people in TV who would like to pull down that kind of dough. I hear the beginnning reporters don't do so well. So - what do you say WMAR folks? |

Starting reporters can expect to make into the 80's with overtime, but obviously everything is negotiable. It's frustrating on this side to still see a ratings slide when the core group of producers/talent is working so hard to churn out a good product. We are truly victims of "higher ups" who refuse to promote anything but weather and will not look at past mistakes to carve out a more successful future.
If you can look past the crappy numbers, it's a terrific place to work and certainly an even better place to find friends.
