Who can deny this? I will.
Some of the most positive words I've read about Bush's handling of Iraq have been in Newsweek magazine. While countless columnists have relentlessly bashed Bush's policies, Farheed Zakaria has been one of the few moderate voices to suggest that Bush just might be doing the right thing. And let's not forget that George Will, hardly a bastion of liberal bias, has a column in Newsweek as well.
One does not need to have a liberal or conservative bias to make an egregious error. One needs only to be sloppy and irresponsible.
Perhaps you should actually read the magazine so you won't appear to be speaking from your ass. |

and still Bush supporter, I agree with you totally tvhell.
This is more about "getting the scoop" to beat the competition in a competitive field and placing all your eggs in one basket; and the basket had a big hole in it.
Sadly, Newsweek's forced retraction won't begin to undo the damage done. Anyone who wants to believe the story will now simply feel like the "truth is being squashed"; that Newsweek simply caved to pressure from the Bush administration.
Having said that, tvhell, you're a little close to the edge yourself using the phrase "typical ignorant conservative reaction".
Better said "ignorant reaction from a conservative".
