The east coast isn't your only option. Why not try some of the other rapid-growth cities in the southwest? Arizona? Nevada? New Mexico? You can still take road trips if you want to. (BTW, New York has the same problems with unaffordability.) |

Tried Phoenix but too hard on
the kids because in summer just go from air-conditioned house,
car to mall, you cannot swim
24/7.
Saw earlier postings regarding
Santa Clarita and that's where
we live, it's affordable
by California standards.
