I??m just wondering if you??ve scoped out the area in Western North Carolina. I know you??re probably talking about Asheville. Have you checked out that area thoroughly?

If you enjoy the outdoors AT ALL, you'll love WNC. Asheville kicks butt for live music and has a great art scene.
Some of the best hiking and mtn biking trails in the country are there, heard of the Appalacian Trail? Road biking is even better, Lance goes there to train on the roads around Grandfather mountain...
Drawback on Asheville are the hordes of "trustifarians" that infest the area. You know... Trust fund kids that look (and smell) like they are dirt poor, until they break out the $600 treo phone and the keys to the LandRover Defender 90 that pops bought them.
