you are really out of touch. Look at the press in the 60's and 70's and today. Dubya would have been driven out of office in another era. No WMD? Starting a WAR - on bad intel? Killing thousands? And wake up - America has killed people. Women, children, men who had nothing to do with terrorism.
And the press looks the other way. YOU are what is wrong with the press and the country. |

From what I've seen, the level of curiosity of J school grads in the last 10 years has been negative. Not like the J kids of the 60's, 70's and even 80's. They wanted to really do something...change the world...find the truth. Today, the J's are looking at the business as a business, not a calling. They accept without question, which exemplifies the problem with them. Ownership groups don't care about covering stories or even uncovering the truth. They want to entertain the masses so they can get money from lame-ass car dealers and the drug companies. It's not news anymore, it's a half hour of poorly produced content with no direction other commercial. And it's not even very commercial.
So, with that in mind, is it any surprise that America is not getting W and his cronies covered and run out of office?
If you read the posts here and in the Sandbox, you'll find many of the broadcasters (or proported broadcasters) on this board will defend ridiculous and reckless decisions with the "it makes a profit" line. THAT is what the problem is.
