Don't hold your breath. After the recent courthouse shootings/mass murder there, Atlanta law enforcement officials were exposed as laughably incompetent. This entire Wayne Williams redux sounds like the chief trying to divert the focus of attention to a fantasyland prayer that they'll find a KKK member as the "real killer" and thus make him, the chief, into a local hero. Fat chance. |

cronkite1 is on to something. There's so much corrupt garbage going on, especially in DeKalb County, that this story is giving police and government officials a breather from closer examination. Never mind the fact that the Chief's re-opening of these cases (admittedly with no new evidence) takes manpower from an already understaffed department with some 70 vacancies! And about the claim that WSB withheld a story pointing to new evidence -- sometimes you have to decide not to go with a story that relies on one person's unreliable and unconfirmable information. Believe me if there was ANYTHING to it, it would have aired.
