It is far from the WORST place in America. It's not a bad place to work, either. I used to work at KWQC-- great place for a first or second job. The set stinks, but the legacy anchors are pretty decent people to learn from when you're starting out. And the photogs were good, too.
WQAD puts on a nice newscast... very agressive. I'd think that would be an OK place to work too.
I liked the Quad Cities... for market 90... it was fine. The people were very nice. I wouldn't want to live there forever, but it's not a bad place for a gig.
