Am having flashbacks-painful ones- as I read posts from KRON and KXTV. I'm one of those who labored as "one-man band" some years back, and labored hard so I could do something better- something that would give a reporter half a chance to do a decent story on a regular basis. With the new technology, the shooting and editing process will be faster, and God knows- lighter. But, it will still scatter the reporter's attention, and put a bigger squeeze on the time you have to cover a story decently. I'm wondering truly if 'good' job will count any more.
