Topic Name: Newsroom Fantasy Message Name: Obviously... Date Posted: 05/13/2005 Message: noone wants to take the blame here so let's blame everyone. Let's blame management for always pushing the drama envelope as examples like the one xnuzboss gave are seen every day. ie: on the Weather Channel Right now.. this rain feels like nails falling from the sky. Pay no attention to the kids that are playing kickball behind me.. this is the hardest rain I've ever felt. I also blame management for hiring people in this business solely based on beauty and quota. If you want quality.. you hire quality. If you want the FCC off your ass.. you hire whoever you have to. Lets blame the producers.. who have firm angles that they want to see met. And if they're a little pissed how can you blame them. They work ten hours a day.. putting up with all of the BS and maybe there's a closing credit with their name on it. And let's blame news "talent"... including me.. for coming in unprepared on certain days. We should all be better prepared in order to be successful.
