Thanks so much for posting the guidelines for deletions. Periodically, when posts are pulled without explanation, it causes more than a few people to scratch their head or wonder about the tenets of their profession, free speech and all that stuff...yadayadayada.
But the fact of the matter, Don, is that many of the posts that are pulled---and I have had that experience from time to time---are pulled for purely arbitrary reasons.
Additionally, I have posted, and said some very direct things (though not slander or libel) on matters of Ms Coulter, and had my comments deleted.
Don, I think many of us appreciate your explanation, but the fact of the matter is that far too many posts are pulled because they run counter to subjective principles and positions you or your editors hold dear.
When you become a public figure like Ms Coulter and say some of the things that have come in undiluted form from her, you have become a target for not simply criticism but correction.
Anyone who feels violated by her bile or her venomous perspectives is entitled to share contrary views, and, in some cases, resort to using the same degree of vitriol as she.
If Ann Coulter needs protection, Don, I'm not sure she would think of you as her first line of defense. She is a big girl and can stand up for herself.
I hope my opinion does not become a casulty of thought police.
