Topic Name: lazy anchors Message Name: LAZY. ANCHORS. Date Posted: 05/12/2005 In Reply To: 3 hour dinners are appalling and demoralizing for the rest of the staff. One poster said that anchors get a 3-hour dinner break because they work evening hours and have families. What the heck are you talking about? What about the line producer or EP of the 10 or 11pm who works evenings and has families? Those people are doomed to eat a quicj meal at their desk while continuing to work. Anchors should be NO different. It's disgusting behavior by the people who make the most money and who SHOULD take a newsroom leadership role but don't. Message: Lazy. Anchors. Isn't that redundant?
