So, what are the latest numbers in Houston? I spent about a week and a half in Houston and I'd have to say that ABC13 is pretty solid. Followed by KHOU-11. The NBC station, KPRC, just had too much flash and dash. It's too busy. I couldn't pay attention to the stories. Some reporter who seemed to be an air-head was doing a story in some kind of fat suit. Then, the infamous dog. I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like it! What the heck is the media coming to? My jaws just dropped when I saw a dog on the set and predicting the weather! Is the dog just for the book? Or, is this a permanent thing?
I did like the late night anchor, Rachel Mc-something. The male anchor read to fast and seemed out of breath by the time he finished his stories.
That's just my assessment. |

KTRK is solid in the mornings and midday, ahead at 4pm, but ch 2 has had some good days. Ch 11 is first at 5pm, but 13 had a big day Wedesday, so that will probably be down to the wire. ch 11 is ahead at 6pm and 10pm. ch 13 had come in third at 10pm the last three days after a relatively strong start.
SamAdams, the woman you're talking about is Rachel McNeil, who normally anchors on the weekends. Very solid.
