....here's hoping you get ahead in this biz. You've shown you're not only driven, but committed. You realize this isn't just about "face time" and when you can shoot a stand-up. You've actually DONE THE WORK! Good for you!
And great advice, too. Revoicing is just plagerizing and doesn't show what you can do. |

Don't know how "ahead" I got in the biz, tho...15+ years and stil going!
Just had my fill of interns who do nothing but surf the wires all day, then want to go shoot stand-ups for their fake tape. I teach now, and after my first class was appalled at how many simply wanted to be anchors. Not tell stories, not report, not write: anchor. And they wanted me to tell them how to make a tape.
They weren't happy with my answer.
(BTW, the proceeding rant was in no way directed at the originator of this thread...just sharing, ya know?)
