Don't you just love it when the newsmeeting sits around and dreams about how great a story should be...and then you get out into the filed and the sexy angle they imagined isn't there...so they tell you to editorialize because they want it so bad? I refuse. I didn't get into this business to be somebody's freaking monkey. If it's not there...it's not going in my story. Period. Bitch all you want. |

don't just settle on bringing back the same ol' lame-ass story.
Or maybe the sexy angle was there, and you are just not good enough to get it.
Maybe you left the meeting with a chip on your shoulder because everyone had to tell you what the story was, so you purposely didn't get the angle they wanted.
Yup, I've worked with you in many, many different markets.
your days are numbered until you figure out how to bring in the story they are after OR, bring your own GOOD ideas to the meeting.
