Topic Name: Kelly O'Donnell new NBC White House Correspondent Message Name: Siegenthaler Date Posted: 05/12/2005 In Reply To: Where is Russert flexing his muscle these days? If I remember right he fought hard for Mik to get the top WH slot instead of the Bloom/Shipman team. I think thats when they got rid of Ed Rabel and sent Mik from years as the White House/Today shift to become the main Pentagon correspondent. Will he fight for Mik to stay if the post is accurate? I think Mik and BW were at the White House together in the early Clinton years. As for Norah - looks good and was good covering Congress but not ready for prime time at the WH. As for Siegenthaler I never could get the attraction to anchor both nights on the weekend let alone one...send him back to MSNBC. Message: Send Siegenthaler to replace Matt on the Today show. Norah O'Donnell could replace Ann Curry.
