This pretty much does some it up. I was surprised the writer didn't rip into PLG though. This was a good ole' fasioned tablod TV ratings stunt. BUT, it did work. One of my PLG friends told me they're getting double-digit numbers and more than doubling the compeition over the last few days. Hey...whatever works I guess. |

...it gave them a great number last Sunday. That was it!
WPLG won the 11:00 slot.
But listen to this...
on Monday part 2 was not seen by as many people.
WFOR actually won the half hour!!!!
On Tuesday WPLG ch 10 was back down to where they usually are.
I must say they let Kamal
off easy. NO tough questions for him. Very one sided, even though prosecutors didn't want to talk. So you talk to
specialists in this field.
As a viewer I saw holes in his
explanations.
The person who interviewed him
is the News Director (AND KAMAL'S GOOD FREIND)
It came across like WPLG had sympathy for a man who likes little boys.
If I were the GM I'd be fuming.
In the end WPLG tarnished its own image and will now pay dearly.
Clearly WPLG was desperate...but it's spike for two days will not have any significant impact in this May book.
Remember this is the station that is dropping its 5:00 news hour and placing Dr. Phil
there.
Another bad decision.
