like most pedophiles. He's using Marion Barry's argument that he was set up. Please!! Enough already. He will NEVER get back on TV again. |

But F. Scott Fitzgerald was wrong: there ARE second acts in American life (and sometimes third and fourth acts as well).
Reading the transcript of the Kamal interview, I can't tell if Kamal is delusional, conniving, or both. If I had to guess, I'd say he posturing for a post-release book and movie deal, built around the "set-up" premise.
Sadly, there are plenty of people out there who will buy that line of garbage. And, Bill can certainly turn on the charm, and convincingly sell his story, persuading a publishing house to print his book and a TV outlet to purchase the movie rights.
If that happens, Kamal may also prove able to convice a ratings-challenged news director to give him another shot at a TV weather slot. And, since Kamal was never actually caught with a young boy (though he was certainly trolling for one), that creates enough plausible deniability for a desperate ND to hire Kamal.
If I were a news exec, I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. But Kamal still has his fans (what a sad commentary on the American public), and that may be the ticket to a post-jail resurrection.
We haven't heard the last of Bill Kamal....
