KRON was once the penthouse of San Francisco television stations. Now it is the station everyone around the country that has anything to do with television news should watch...but for the wrong reasons.
It's just sad to see that anyone with a Sony Handicam in the Bay Area can now get their video on a #5 market television station. Now you know if KRON can get away with it...who says other companies will not copy cat it.
It is so unfortunate professional television stations cater more to mega million dollar profits that to putting on a good professional product. I hope the other 3 Bay Area television plants keep doing television news the right way...not as a revival of the old
"Real TV".

Uh, you did you mean to say the other FOUR Bay Area television plants - or for that matter - five or six or seven "plants"?
A quick guide to Bay Area TV in addition to the independent station...
KTVU/Fox 2 - Seven hours of weekday news.
KNTV/NBC 11 Cable 3 - 5 hours of weekday news.
KPIX/CBS 5 - 4.5 hours of weekday news.
KGO/ABC 7 - 4.5 hours of weekday news.
KBWB/WB20 Cable 13 - 2 hours of weekday news.
KBHK/UPN 44 - 1 - 2 hours of weekend morning news produced by KPIX.
Not to mention two spanish stations (KDTV, KSTS) and one chinese station (KTSF).
Some have been around forever, some haven't. But to assume there are only "three other plants" insults all the stations.
