that most top rated and watched male anchors, no matter what the market size, seem to have one common characteristic. Yep. Ego.
But having a big ego and being a jerk arn't always a match. Ok, sportscasters have ego's too, but the best male co-anchors I've worked with over the years all had pretty hefty ego's. The handful who had ego's mixed with insecurity issues were a real pain though. "How'd I do?" "Was that a good read?" "What do they think of me over at Ch?"
I actually told one, years ago, "they think you're an a--hole." "No, I mean really.." I said.."really!"
