...why don't you assign your anchors stories to write? Instead of just complaining that they don't.
And for your info, there are those of us anchors who DO produce when you call in sick, take vacation or whatever.
If you have a complaint about YOUR anchors -- keep it to them. But don't lump all of us together. There are some of us who are working, every day, to make sure our newscasts are better, stronger. I'm watching my producer's back, telling them about stories they may have missed because they're focusing on another aspect of the show. I'm offering ideas to help make that newscast stronger (or avoid disaster). And I'm sure I'm not the only anchor who does that.
