I don't like all the pieces about the anchors either. who cares? they're doing it with the weekend folks, too. i guess to make them all seem more like family to viewers. but it's embarassing. i do like robin, though, very much and think she adds a lot to the program. you can't blame her for something the producers want to do. but you're also right -- there's very little real news on any of the network morning shows, and it's a real shame. |

She probably fills a demographic need for GMA. Weren't they trying to get rid of Tony Perkins? Agreed, she has paid her dues through Sportscenter, and others, like Bob Costas, have moved between sports and "lifestyle" type news.
However, she does come across as a bit masculine, hence the family stuff, trying to soften her image. She is not a compelling personality to watch, and she may lose as viewers as she attracts.
