KBTX is the only game in town as far as TV goes and, no, it doesn't pay well. Whatever you do, do not apply at KRHD. It's a satellite operation of KXXV from Waco. It's a one-gun shop with green reporters and little constructive criticism. It's only the reporters here. Everything else is in Waco. Go for a PR job. Texas A&M and its system agencies have lots of communications specialists and those jobs open occasionally. Keep an eye on University Relations because when the new VP for marketing/communications is hired, that office may undergo some serious changes. |
