7,000 is insane! That's more than 10-percent of most salaries in this business. If you reached into your pocket to pay an agent that much, you'd be getting a lot more for your money. Once a lawyer is finished with you, they're finished! At least an agent sticks with you and has some interest in developing your career. |

That's less than $2,000/yr., and it's tax-deductible.
And that $7,000 represents about 1.1% of the entire four-year deal.
Sure, agents will stick with you to keep reaching into your pocket every month.
Been that route. With a few 'big name' agents. It stinks.
These days, agents really can't extract much out of stations, unless you're a top-shelf network type.
