Message: If you're thinking of signing up with Slotnick, few things you should know.... He may be a nice guy but he is ALL about the money. But Slotnick will get you a job. That's the best thing about him. If you don't care about how you're treated, and not receiving call backs from him - he's for you. Mind you: you have to have thick skin to be represented by him. If you're not marketable, forget about being represented by Slotnick. If you're just starting out but have lots of $$$ potential, you've struck gold. He doesn't always call you back so you have to get his cell phone number(s). Don't just get his office number because he's known to dodge phone calls. If you need an agent whom you can talk to, spill out your frustrations, thoughts, dreams - get a therapist. Again, Slotnick is ALL about the money. Let's face it. All agents are alike in many ways. You have to interview agents as if they're interviewing for a job. If you don't like their philosophy, move on. You have to find the right one that fits your personality. I've been represented by the best in the business, including William Morris, and I've realized I'm just better off having my wife (an attorney) represent me. She knows me best. I don't want to give Slotnick bad press, but this is the honest truth from ONE former William-Morris client. There may be a lot of people out there who love him. I, however, was not a big fan. And just to let you know, I made it without agents. I got a job in a top twenty market as a Main Anchor - by myself. I knew I had talent. I believed in myself. Hope this helps.
